I loved A Woman of Choice! I stayed up entirely too late to gobble it and get to the end. The characters were developed so well that they stayed with me, making me think about them well after I was finished reading. I can't wait for free time to get to the 2nd book in the series!

I'm enjoying the story but am distracted by the spelling errors and historical impossibilities. I'll probably read the others but wish the author would do more research! These are minor annoyances. The story is engaging and I care about the characters enough to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very strong and the tensions that were between the three characters were very intense. You could feel it, like you were there.
I enjoyed the evenness of the story, I understand there will be more in this series. I will read them.

I thoroughly enjoyed A Woman of Choice. The premise was fresh, the tension was everything I could hope for, and the characters were three dimensional.

I can't wait until I have more free time to finish the series. Kris Tualla is a gifted writer indeed.

I have been one of 'those' readers - you know the ones. Stuck on heroes from that 'other' country. Now I know better. Now I know that Norway is where the REAL men are from.

Who says I'm not too old to be schooled?

Loved the book - great character development - good story flow - details that don't overwhelm.

I'd say the only drawback is that it is too short, but that's not true either. Seems that Ms. Tualla has got two more of these lovely items up her sleeve.

A Woman of Choice was a fascinating historical read that turned out to be quite the page turner. Set in 1819, I was transported to an era that I don't usually read about. Sydney's character was funny, quirky and so unlike what a proper lady should have been. Sydney is just the type of strong character I love to see in a heroine. Nicolas was strong, protective and oh so yummy. Nicolas is a man that has been hurt on a very primal level and he does all he can to protect his heart, until Sydney comes along. I don't want to give away too much of the book because there are so many interesting and unexpected twists and turns. The romance between Sydney and Nicolas was certainly one of imperfection. They simply sizzled together. The ending is amazing and will definitely leave you wanting to buy the second book in the series. A Woman of Choice is certainly a book that is now on my keeper list. Kris Tuala writes an intriguing historical romance that is sure to sweep you off your feet. A must read!

I like historical romance in general, so A Woman of Choice was right up my alley. I really liked the tension amongst Nicky and Sydney and Rickard, all the twists and turns of the plot, the swearing in Norwegian (ha!), the talking to God, Sydney's relationship with Stefan, the tasteful sex scenes, and the way Sydney worked with horses. Being Norwegian myself, I think Kris has done a great job of capturing the essence of a non-demonstrative Norwegian man and his turmoil as he has to decide what to do with the woman who is seemingly dropped into his world.
