Many eating disorders are related to a project of unbalanced diet. In an effort to conform to an ideal of thinness packed with cultural elements almost always misleading, men and women engage in projects that serve food to achieve the ideal, far from pursuing their own happiness. The failure of this project is seen as failure of his personal and social identity. Depression can be then the effect of determining the difference between her body and the ideal. This ideal is the basis of the widespread use of diets and sports activities dedicated to the care of the body.
