This story is captivating and has many twists and turns. It gives a new dimension to fantasy characters. It was difficult to put down. Not only is it a fantasy, but a sweet love story that can be enjoyed by young adult and adult alike. The devotion of Elani to her Prince was enjoyable, making the reader wonder when the Prince will see her as something more than a servant. Highly recommended!

This was a great book! An adventurous tale that was quick paced! Something new always happened and there wasn't a moment to get bored! And who doesn't love a good love story? Loved it! Now the author just needs another book to give my favorite character a happy ending!

Just finished reading "The Treasure of Isian" by Serena Clarke. Even though I am surprised I am giving this book 5 stars. It is not my normal kind of read but I enjoyed this book. Prince Garin sets off to find The Magical Treasure Of Isian after his younger brother Prince Rogan tells him the secret of it. The secret is that it is a treasure that will grant your every wish. Prince Garin and his servant Elani ( a girl of 17, which for the last 13 years had been his servant and who is secretly in love with him) doesn't even know what the treasure is, only that he wants it. Prince Garin and Elani encounters giants and elves and centaurs. The centaurs tell them the treasure will not be what they are expecting. Elani must kill a water-witch and free Prince Garin from dragons and find the magical looking glass of Isian. Then the seer tells her " You do not know who you are and that finding the glass is your special mission. They find help from a old friend of Prince Garin's father. They do discover the treasure and it is a surprise to all. The ending is the best surprise of all! If all fantasy was written like this I might read more fantasy, I will be looking for more of her novels to read!

The Treasure of Isian was a stirring tale of an enchanted servant and a handsome prince and the adventures they face together as they search for the fabled treasure of Isian that will grant the bearer any wish they desire. This story had everything--dragons, witches, giants, elves, kings, princesses, terrifying forests and true love. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. Elani's story was touching and heartbreaking as she goes on a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment. The author did a wonderful job pacing the story and connecting me to the characters (all of them--side as well as main characters). I loved them all. Superb story that brought a smile to my face and helped me remember that sometimes, we can overlook the most valuable treasures in life if we're not careful.

I love a good fairy-tale. This one is delightful. It's full of adventure, dragons, witches, elves, and other fantasy creatures. There are several wonderful heroes as well. I liked watching the mystery unfold and guessing how the characters would overcome the challenges they faced. I look forward to more from Serena Clarke.
