Anakin recovered from his rage and drew his breath in ragged gasps. “What exactly are you offering?” he asked, saying each word slowly.

“The Sith leadership has been promised to me. Join with me! Together, we can rule the Force and ensure that you will be the greatest Force user of either Sith or Jedi that will ever be!” Darth Maul extended his hand. More

Incredible alternate story for the prequels. I really enjoyed the character Khian. Also, Jango was so badass! The references to the Darth Bane books were great!

First off, I have to say that I read Split Horizons in less than 24 hours. I literally couldn't put it down. Yeah, it's that good.

David Gremillion takes his characters to brand new, unexpected places in the second part of this trilogy. The story gains more complexity as the Clone Wars rage on, the villains continue to weave their web of evil and relationships are formed between our heroes that will soon be tested. We visit unseen planets with rarely explored characters. And the most intriguing aspect of all is watching our hero, Anakin, begin to show signs of his dark future.

No matter if you liked the Star Wars Prequel films or not, you will surely enjoy this further retelling of the story. I highly recommend this fantastic novel!

i just got done reading this yesterday afternoon and the worst part is that he has not finished ep. 3 yet. i picked up the first 3 books and read them back to back. it is a great rewrite and reimagining of the pt. there is alot of emotion, mystery, and excitement. you can see the relationships grow that were missing from the pt imo. i highly recommend this to any star wars fan.
i am eagerly awaiting ep. 3 since he left me hanging on the cliff. great work david!

I enjoyed this re-imaging of the prequels as i found the raise and fall of anakin skywalker lacking in the movies..
The story pulls you in, with excitement of the original trilogy. I found myself feeling like a child again reading this.. I really enjoyed this story of anakin's raise in the jedi order.. i look forward to reading the third installment.someday.. when i first read awakening, I started reading split horizons right after i was done.. i couldn't stop reading.. and i am waiting for the third one if there is going to be another installment i can only hope..

I finally finished this masterpiece of David Gremillion. I'm so full of Emotion right now after reading the very last page of this book. It was thrilling till the end. Once you start reading, you will go on and on, because you just want to know what will happen next! I loved how things turned out (also sometimes really unexpecting moments - which gives you real excitement and joy). I truly love how the author describes the characters and you can cleary see their future development compared to the first book. I recommend this book highly to everyone.
You enjoyed Star Wars Awakening? Damn, you will love this one even more!!!!
I hope David will soon finish the last book of his triology. I really can't wait.

And the epic, rewritten saga continues.

Absolutely awesome story. Rather then being a whiny little brat who misses his mommy and has an obsession with a boyhood crush, we see a young man who is thirsting for power and will do whatever it takes to achieve it while still trying to keep to the Jedi code.

Political turmoil gets worse as corruption becomes more in your face and rampant.

Best part is how David rewrote how the clone wars take place. Never imagined that the clones would be the good guys. This version is far more logical.

Can't wait to read the finally of this incredibly well written trilogy.

I must say out of all the Star Wars books I've read during my childhood, none of them were this good. I mean, Split Horizons is absolutely the best I've read in a long time!
I was absolutely stunned at the ending by far, and I must admit this is a very excellent storytelling.
Star Wars: Split Horizons was well thought out, well planned, well read. Absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work Dave! I look forward for more books from you!

What a book! Action, intrigue, drama, suspense, romance, and so much more!

Action: As the Clone Wars continues, Jedi Knights and the Republic Army rage war against a rebellion that is much stronger than anticipated. People are being promoted to high status due to the cause of this war- people who may not necessarily be ready for such responsibility.

Intrigue: As our heroes continue to discover answers during this war, a dozen more questions appear. Alliances, deception, friendships, enemies, where does it start, and where does it end? Can these questions all possibly be answered in time?

Drama: The War is not just in the outer rim, it is also raging back in the politics of Coruscant, and even within the minds and souls of the characters.

Suspense: With each twist and turn, new excitements and ideas are presented. New planets explored, new character development never explored previously. I'd caution the reader to be open-minded about the characters. They may not behave exactly as one may remember from the movies, but usually, the changes are for the better. Jango Fett's character comes to mind immidiately. You'll know what I mean.

Romance: One of the greatest love triangles in the history of the Star Wars universe. Many times better -and much less awkward- than the Han/Luke/Leia triangle everybody assumed was happening. Emotions turn from frivolous crushes in "Awakening" to full-blown affections in "Split Horizons". And the way the triangle is finally resolved will leave your jaw hanging open and your heart in the pit of your stomach. You don't wan to miss it!

In all, "Split Horizons" is a fantastic follow-up to "Awakening". Great characters, well-described environments and fight scenes, politics, love, and lightsabers! I thoroughly enjoyed it and sincerely hope a third novel will be released... This feels like it could just be the beginning!

Some new ideas here on SW. I like Anakin's arch. I hadn't read the author's first book, but was able to catch up quick.

Review by: Bill Nelson on Oct. 02, 2012 :
Star Wars: Split Horizons follows the author's original novel - Star Wars: Awakening - and further develops the alternate plot lines and new characters he introduced in the original.

Is there a third book to follow to make it a trilogy? I hope so because Split Horizons is a worthy successor to Awakening. Its hard to put down.

Too bad Lucas didn't have access to the plot ideas. And the characters which are introduced. Maybe he could have avoided Jar Jar!

Lucas doesn't plan on making any more Star Wars books. Maybe an animation team somewhere will pick up these books and turn them into a series.

Review by: Mark A.J. Cristobal on Oct. 01, 2012 :

David Gremillion, author of Star Wars - Awakening have outdone himself this time in the his sequel Star Wars - Split Horizons!

The events that has transpired in the first book have been justifiably taken to the next level. The plot and the execution is superb, worthy among the ranks of the best fan fictions by far. I wouldn't even be surprise if he will one day write an official novel for Star Wars itself!

There is NO disappointing here, all those characters you have come to love from the Awakening have all evolved and were equally given their deserve spotlight.

Suspense, explosive scenarios and revelations from beginning to end will keep you hooked the moment you start reading it.

The only left to say is that I can't wait for the finale!
