About Robert Crompton

I've worked in the chemical industry and in townplanning. I've been a barman and a parson. I suppose I have been a historian as well because my first book, Counting the Days to Armageddon, was a history of a fringe religious group. But at heart I'm a storyteller.

Review by: M.W. Kilgore on Jan. 13, 2014 :
There's not much to say about 'Leaving Gilead", except that I absolutely enjoyed it. Immediately, I was drawn to the different characters, finding myself loving a few of them, and wanting to slap others. The story line was well written and easy to follow the characters throughout the entire book. I am hoping there might be a 'Leaving Gilead, part 2' coming out. If there is, I will get it immediately.
