About Tom Marshall

Tom Marshall was born and raised in a multiracial family  in Boston’s South End. He received much of his inspiration for his first novel from his father’s memories of plantation life in Barbados where his late grandfather worked as the head mechanic on a sugarcane plantation in the late 1800’s.

Tom still resides in the Boston area with his wife, Derniere and his dog Louie.
