About Heidi Raki

My name is Heidi Raki and I am the author of the Raki's Rad Resources blog. Currently, I teach a multiage (3rd and 4th grade) classroom at the International School of Morocco, in Casablanca, Morocco. Previously, I taught Technology Skills and Writing at a low income school in Georiga, USA. Before that, I taught Third Grade at the same school for four years. As a teacher, I focus on project based, differentiated, brain based learning.

In addition to teaching, I am also a curriculum designer. All teachers create resources, but as a teacher, this has always been a strength of mine. After enough colleagues asked me for copies of my resources, I decided to do my Master’s in Curriculum and Instructional Design. This has helped me grow as a teacher and as a designer.

I am also a wife and a mother. My husband, Khalil is my partner - in life and business. He helps me to run Raki's Rad Resources and creates resources in Spanish & French. Together, we have three amazing sons: Khalil, Zaiyd and Samir. Our family is currently in Morocco,so I am also a language learner, an explorer of new sights and sounds, a person learning how to live in a new culture.
