Murder: A Love Story

Rated 4.67/5 based on 3 reviews
A short Story about how emotional abandonment leads to murder. Jim, a stay at home writer, becomes disenchanted with his workaholic spouse, Sally, and falls hard for the wife of Sally's boss.

Sally looks for love at work and she and Jim begin plotting their way out of a loveless marriage. But their murderous intentions don't work out quite the way they plan and the result is not pretty.

About Don Weston

I Write mysteries, having grown up on Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, then followed Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler and mainlined into today's commercial fiction.

I am writing a Billie Bly series now, about a hard-boiled P.I. of the feminine persuasion. You can buy Bleeding Blue at If you like short stories, I recommend "Death Fits like a Glove," where Billie takes on a neighborhood pet-napping case which turns out rather deadly. If you like twists, this is for you.

My Billie Bly stories can have a bit of humor, but can also turn a bit dark sometimes as in "Murder: A Love Story." But overall I try to combine keeping it light and yet, suspenseful in my Billie Bly Series.

Murder: A Love Story is a simple, excellent, short story that is well written with good editing. Sort of a be careful of what you wish for type of tale. I recommend it if you like shorts.
