"I walked in the house. A feeling of uneasiness swept over me, like something wasn't right..."
Annabelle Garamond is just one of the populars. She only cares about being the most popular at her school. Gum in her mouth, Prada bag in hand, she will stop at NOTHING.
But when she is exiled to a new house, a new school, and a completely new life, it's hard for her to adjust. Worse, her mother is brutally murdered. This time she's completely determined to find the killer.

The dialogue in this story is kind of juvenile. There is a lot going on and the transitions are jumpy, not blending as smoothly as you would expect. The story line itself is interesting and imaginative. I think it would appeal to a younger age group but not necessarily as a children's story. Therefore, this should be reclassified as a teen/young adult read.
