4.5* out of 5*

Sacrifice is the third book in the Gryphon series and gives us plenty more of what we have come to expect: action and snarky humour. But that's not all—Celeste has a seriously difficult decision to make. Without spoiling anything, I really expected that there would be a way around it, but I should have known better—if there's one thing I have learnt about the author from the three books of hers that I have read so far, it's that she keeps the surprises coming. Things are never predictable, and for that I thank Stacey Rourke!

With a wedding to organise, the family has its work cut out. With demons where the Garretts least expect them to be, nothing is straightforward for the superheroes. In the end, however, help comes from the most unlikely source—and from a previously mysterious character who gets more time in the limelight in this book.

This book ends, as the others do, with a huge cliffhanger, and sadly the next book in the series isn't out yet! So I'll be waiting eagerly for the next instalment of the Gryphon series to find out what comes next for the Garrett family. This comes highly recommended, just like the two books preceding it in the series.

What?? I just finished with another masterpiece by Stacey and I am picking up my jaw from the floor as she left me wanting more and yet my shelf is empty. There has to be more, right? Don’ t get me wrong, it is not one of “those books” that drags you through the whole 200+ pages and frustrates you because the author leaves you hanging for months while you chew on your nails waiting to see what happens, this is not what transpired. There was so much high-spirited adventure within this novel, I was torn between reading fast to find out what was happening to not wanting to read it at all, as I didn’t want the book to end. I was totally emerged into the life of Celeste, Gabe and Kendall and I finally got to meet their mother as she finally made her way to Kentucky to meet up with her kids. When Celeste got her new Spirit Guide, I thought I was going to split a side laughing so much. A gnome, yes she got a gnome with a walking stick that eats berries to train her to fight. My own imagination ran wild with the implications of that but Stacey’s satire and amusing humor made this twist even more entertaining. The demons are still attacking and the size and the shape they take on, is quite the deal. The sibling sure do have their hands full trying to combat evil and keeping Celeste safe. There is a wedding on the calendar and with all weddings there is some mishaps but the ones that take place surrounding this wedding will go down in history. I sure hope the people involved have a sense of humor or can think outside the box as this wedding is not traditional.
So much to love within this book!! There is such a connection with the characters right off from the start that you just feel everything they do and you become a part of their lives. The humor continues with the book and that lightens the mood in some of the tight situations the characters get themselves into. I found myself laughing out loud and I am still smiling at some of the things that played out in the book and they will stay with me as I have now made a connection. Everything surrounding the wedding made this event unforgettable in my eyes and all the demons were fantastic! This is definitely a must-read!!
I received a copy of this book in return for an honest and unbiased review.

Sacrifice, is and OMG book. It has love found, love lost, many twists and turns. It's phenomenal.
I had at first thought this was a trilogy, but I was deluded and probably misread something or something. Because this is NOT a trilogy, since the end of Sacrifice, leaves you with a MASSIVE and I mean Massive cliffhanger.

Sacrifice picks up, not long after Embrace left off. Celeste and Caleb are madly in love, Gabe and Alaina are planning their wedding. Kendall is in heaven, in planning her brother's wedding.

Celeste is still perturbed about having a Garden Gnome as her guide, but she manages. Demon activity is picking up. And the Countess is at it again, only this time it seems like she's got Celeste right where she wants her. Most of the book is dealing with Celeste feeling lost and alone. At the Bridal shop an attack happens and someone close to her, goes oddly wacky. In the meantime, she's trying to save the world, keep her family protected, and make sure that Gabe and Alaina get their happily ever after.

I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book in this series, because it has quickly shaped into one of my most favorite series of all time. I'm dying here already, when is the next book coming out?

I was given a copy of Sacrifice by the Author for an honest review. I have read the first two books in this series, and love them all equally! There are more twists and turns in this story then I can count, and you soon learn that not everyone is who you thought, and you never know who you may call “friend” in the end. And yes, Bernard, the berry-popping Garden Gnome is still here, training Celeste. I am not a huge fan of gnome’s either, but he can be quite whitty. Without giving away too much information, this is a much read for any fan of this series, just have your tissues ready, as you will soon realize why this installment is titled as such.

All I can say is...WOW!! Book One left me wanting more but I could put it down and go to bed, Book Two had me rooting for Caleb and Celeste and Gabe and Alaina. Book Three has me wondering where the heck is Book Four, Five and Six? I need to know what is happening with Rowan! Where are Gabe and Alaina going? What's going on with Alec? Are Celeste and Caleb going to be ok? What's up with Big Mike? OMG! Sophie!

This is an awesome series and will definitely leave the reader wanting more. These characters have stolen my heart and they will steal yours too. Grams will keep you laughing, Celeste will have you shaking your head, Gabe leaves you feeling safe and wanting to give him kitty kibble and Keni makes any fashion challenged gal want to hook up and go shopping just for her tips! Stacey brings these characters to life.

Please keep the Garrett family adventures coming! I will definitely be a dedicated reader to them! But Stacey, please be kind and give us an "in between" novella before Book 4. =)

I feel like it has been forever since the last time I read the second book in the Gryphon series. How I missed Celeste and her family, as well as several other characters who stole my heart from the first two books.

Stacey Rourke puts Celeste through a lot harder dilemmas this time. She's faced with making a choice over sacrificing what is right to wrong and losing the one person she truly will anything for and love. She also is forced to deal with new enemies and old enemies together. She finds out though, that the one person she thinks hates her, really loves her and will do anything for her...until you break that person's heart again.
The third installment to the Gryphon series leaves you wanting more after you read the last sentence since of course, Stacey Rourke leaves you with a cliffhanger. There a lot of questions in this book that made me even in shock just like Celeste was. She had no clue who to trust and I do not blame her one bit.

I enjoyed every minute of this book, but it broke my heart what Celeste had to do. =( I am hoping what she did will be fixed in the fourth book. I did end up falling for Rowan a little more, until of course he showed his other side again. That demon definitely has me confused. One minute I could give him a kiss and the other I could give him a swift kick in the butt.

One of the main attractions in the book was Alaina and Gabe's Wedding in the book that was definitely spectacular, but they had to deal with some bumps in the road before they got their happily ever after. They had Celeste, Kendall, and Gabe (when he was not dealing with wedding fiascos), Sophie, Big Mike and a few others to help save the day. Even Rowan...but not always. Geez...I have no clue about him.

What really had me in shock was one certain character coming forth to help Celeste when she did not even know she needed it.

Stacey Rourke has a way of bringing you in the story and feeling like you are with the characters along the ride and all you want for them is to defeat the demons that want them dead, especially, Celeste, the Conduit.

I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend it to young adult fantasy readers out there. Make sure if you have not read the first two books, The Conduit & Embrace, to read those first. Otherwise, you will definitely be lost a bit on what has happened in the previous books.
I look forward to reading the fourth book and hopefully, Celeste will have a little easier, but that's highly unlikely (poor chosen one and all) and let's hope that Rowan gets his act together (that's another unlikely one).

Sacrifice by Stacey Rourke is the 3rd story in The Gryphon series. If you haven't read Conduit and Embrace (books 1 & 2) then you NEED to read them before reading
This story continues with Celeste and her brother and sister saving the world from Demons...and trying to make sure that the wedding between Gabe and Alaina will be
perfect. But the demon world throws a huge problem at Celeste when it sends Titans to attack her. She can't kill any Titans without possibly killing her boyfriend Caleb
because of the Titan blood in him. How can Celeste keep Caleb safe and stop the demons? What will she have to sacrifice?
I am a huge fan of this series - I love the characters and the storyline. And it just gets better with every story that is published. I literally found myself laughing out
loud at times and crying at other times while I was reading this book. Just imagine - huge demon spiders attacking in a bridal store or a demon stripper named Officer Python...and those are just 2 of the many LOL moments.
I have to warn you that Stacey Rourke loves cliffhanger endings and this book ends with a huge one. I kept tapping my kindle trying to get it to turn to another chapter because I couldn't believe that she'd end it like that. So now I'm anxiously waiting for the next book to be released...and thinking about hiring someone to chain Stacey Rourke to her desk until she finishes the book and sends it to me.

Sacrifice by Stacey Rourke

5 Stars

Sometimes when you read a book, you just click with the work in such a way that you feel like you’re friends. That’s how I feel with this series, I don’t know if it’s the characters or Stacey’s easy going, humorous, and comfortable writing style that has me so attached.

Sacrifice has the laugh out loud moments that we get in the previous 2.5 Gryphon Series books, but it also feels darker than them. Celeste has some pretty awful things to contend with, and this only goes to prove how strong she is, and how much she has grown in her roll as the conduit. She finds comfort from an unexpected source and I found myself enjoying their time together and wanting more from the relationship than I got. Both Keni and Gabe have their own troubles to deal with. Keni isn’t her usual happy go lucky self and everything is stacked against Gabe achieving the perfect wedding day.

Once again we are left at a point in the plot that has the reader begging to know what happens next and I for one am hoping and praying that Stacey is kind enough to publish an ‘in-between novella’ to put me on until the next book comes out. If you haven’t already started this series I really really think you should go out and buy them right now!
