About Ian Woodhead

Ian Woodhead is just past the age of forty. He lives in the north of England and is married to a wonderful woman. He has forgotten how many children he has. He had been writing for nearly twenty years but has only just gained the confidence to start showing his work. Ian finds it a little creepy writing about himself in the third person.

The first few typos didn't stop me wanting to know what happened next. But I did begin to find the tense changes and stray words quite distracting from what could otherwise be a good read.

To me this short was too short. The author didn't flesh out the carcass and it died. The transition from the female character to the male was confusing and left me in limbo.

I thought the description of Brett being a hairy, sweaty slob contrasted with the next paragraph where he was kind and compassionate and “difficult to find fault”. Other than that, the tension builds well (although she is a bit over the top on her reaction to the sound at first) and the last third is quite good indeed. A couple of minor grammar issues but nothing that detracts from the story. Good stuff.

Nice plot idea, and it's reasonably well-written but I found the description of Ellie getting up, going downstairs and making a hot drink overlong and boring, and then the level of her anxiety at a sound coming from the refrigerator seemed way over the top and unbelievable.

An amazing book, a great read. The shock of seeing Ellie being dragged into the fridge was an incredible suprise. I love the fridge with the blood flowing out on the book cover. An incredible book, a must read

Just my cuppa tea this - a very short, clever, twist in the tale story. A name to watch out for, for sure. Can't wait to read more of Mr Woodhead's tales!!

Another quality piece of disturbia from Ian Woodhead. Duplicity and bitterness tinge this tale. Can't wait for another outing.
