Depressed Emily plans to commit suicide but is convinced by the unscrupulous Mr. Becker to sell all of her organs for a large sum of money that she can use to fulfil some of her dreams for a year before fulfilling her end of the deal.

Emily’s bucket list of things she wants to do before she dies:
Country dancing; adopting a pet; getting drunk; parasailing; visiting a tropical island; getting a tattoo; visiting New York; skinny dipping; meeting Woody Allen; having a one-night stand; running with the bulls in Pamplona and making love under the stars in Paris.

There is of course the added goal of doing all of the above before end of 12 months at which point creepy Mr. Becker gets all of her organs.

This is the story of perfect/boring Emily. She got everything she planned: a loving man who will ask her to be his forever and a fantastic job which she expects to get promoted. Or so she thought. When both things turn out to be delusions, Emily's world is shaken so badly, she think of killing herself. A chance for a better life comes in the form of compensation for her organs. One year chance to enjoy her life and seize the day (as everyone keeps telling her).

Part 1 finishes at a point I REALLY wanna know more. The cliffhanger is definitely well place. Like watching the end of a tv season finale. I thought this book was out and out about romance so I expected a lot of men around LOL!. But what I found really surprised me. Emily finds friendship in Simone, the hot secy woman who took away her job and boyfriend. I didn't like Simone at first, she was annoying and a b*tch. However, later in the book, her story is revealed which made me feel really sad for her. I can't wait to read the next part. and please let Tyler come back

A fun read, whitty and tinged with suspense. So many pieces hook the reader and make them invested in the characters. I even like the extra touch of adding a picture at the start of each chapter, that follows the development of the main character.
