Reviews of Marked: Collected Ramblings by Sheila Pierson

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of short stories and poetry. From tales of lost love and dark consequences to stories of wicked acts done in the name of God, Ms. Pierson's beautifully crafted sentences draw the reader into the characters' worlds. Not a word is wasted, and the author's description is vivid and visceral. The book ends with a collection of poetry, my favorite of which is "Cold Reality." It is impossible to remain unmoved by that one.

The collection is short and easily read in one setting should one choose. I eagerly await future works by this author.

Five Stars!!
I love flash fiction. I love writing it, and I love reading it...most especially when, as in these works from Ms. Pierson, the plot lines are so very well executed. These super short and not-so-sweet stories held my interest so intently; once I started reading, I just couldn't stop.
This author followed up her short stories with a nice selection of poetry, a brilliant addition to this collection. I look forward to much more from this author!
If you are looking for some mind blowing hard core fiction in a flash, then I highly recommend "Marked Collected Ramblings".
