If you've ever wanted to know what it would be like to hitchhike across the United States, living almost carefree and doing whatever you like -- or if you want to re-live those days if you were fortunate enough to experience them yourself, then you will love this story! It feels like you are right there with Pineapple Sam and his friends and everyone he meets, through all the good, bad and ugly. I felt like I went on many fabulous adventures while reading this book. Thank you, Sam, for sharing!

I thought this book was very well written and I would recommend it to my friends. It was so informative! I felt like I was with him on his hitchhiking adventures! I would have liked to have been able to read The Berkeley Barb and a copy added to the book would be a plus! I rate this book by Pineapple Sam 5 stars! Why? Because it was real! I believed him! And it was so interesting I could not put it down!
