For me, this was more disturbing than erotic. The author went to great pains to spell out that the encounter between Jack and Stacy was explicitly consensual - which I'm sure he felt he HAD to do, but the continual reminders were repetitive, and left me wondering whether the protagonist was trying to convince the reader or himself that he was not doing anything 'wrong'.

And even as a consensual act, the fact that Stacy wants to be treated in this way is deeply troubling (to me anyway). This smacks of a very male fantasy, which is theory, but I do worry about the portrayal of female sexuality in the story. I'm not saying that women don't have rape fantasies, I'm just not comfortable with the execution of this one.

Although there were several mentions (again this got a little repetitive), by our male protagonist narrator, of not having done anything like this before and it not even being a fantasy he'd harbored, to me, he was not at all likeable. Not a redeeming feature in sight.

A kiss and a cuddle at the end of all that violence doesn't make either of the characters sympathetic.

Don't know if I 'enjoyed' it as Sophia says it 'takes all types' but as with the whole 50 shades crap I question where some people's fantasies are taking us all.

I guess it takes all types as long as it was consensual.
