I've been writing and singing poems since I was eight: my first one was on the beach and began 'rain is my silver, sunshine is my gold.' Nowadays I write both serious and comic verse, much of it rhyming but some free verse. I like to do unusual things with limericks and I'm extremely fond of a sonnet.
I live in Leicester, which is about as far as you can get from the sea in Britain
