Welcome to my Smashword profile,
I started researching positive words during 2012. The reason why I started seriously researching positive words is because I was diagnosed with depression and general anxiety 5 years before 2012. For 4 years I did intense psychotherapy and I healed myself. After healing myself I discovered by chance a small list of positive words on the internet, after wanting to know more about the words Gratitude and Appreciation.
Seeing so many positive words together I realized that I was missing something essential. I thought: "No wonder I developed depression and anxiety. I am 30 years old and I do not have a positive vocabulary in my mind with which to know how to think positively."
I realized that the secret of positive thinking is to clearly be educated in positive words. If I knew positive words, I could create for myself any encouraging and hopeful thought, at the right time, when I needed it and I could empower myself. I realized that this lack of education about positive words disempowered me and made me develop depression and anxiety.
Therefore, I decided to make a blog and started researching positive words. I created a complex list of positive words that went viral and translated the list into over 20 languages. From 2013 to 2019, my blog Positive Words Research had over 40 million views. Many websites were inspired by my research and over time the internet was flooded by positive words and their explanations. Some people even revealed untranslatable positive words from different languages. At present there are many resources on the internet about positive words that did not existed in 2012 when I started my research. However, in schools children are still not taught positive words in a separate subject such as mathematics, chemistry or history. In my opinion positive words are essential in communication, in developing solid positive thinking, identifying and reproducing the positive emotions that are so healing. Nowadays, the way we talk to ourselves has proven to have a major influence on the quality of our life.
Before having my passion for positive words I was an auditor for more than 12 years. I worked in one of the Big4 multinational companies and other big corporations.
Lately I have started to think a lot about children's education. I am 100% convinced that if a kid studies and learns seriously a list of at least 500 positive words they will significantly increase their chances of never developing depression, anxiety or other mental illness. The age that I think a kid should start learning positive words is 10 years old. After that age, every year, the positive vocabulary should be reinforced by more education. In this way when he becomes an adult the positive words will be an integral part of his mind and he will use them in the internal and external dialogues with ease.
