Reviews of The Odd Job by Brennan Barrett

This is the first book in a series that is, so far, a great romp. The may have described it as a "burger and fries" project but it's a Kobe beef burger on brioche and the fries are hand-cut and anointed with truffle salt.

Better yet, it's utterly unpredictable. There's a solid plot but you just can't tell what is going to happen next or exactly how the characters will respond to it. Just awesome and fun!

It was a fun read. He did a good job growing the characters and making you care what happened to them. My only complaint is you don't get to see what happens to his boss.

Brilliant read! A very easy and digestible writing style, interesting plot, great characters and clever funny. I can easily see this turning into a buffy type tv series.... well done! Now onto books two and three!!!
