About Peter Red

I am of Indian origin – part of the "Mango class" as Indian politicians like to call us. My primary interests lie in the area of technology such as speech recognition, additive manufacturing and ideas such as chaos theory. I use writing as a way to focus these interests and see how they interact with my characters.
I am a firm believer in transformational experiences especially those that occur due to mother nature. My first story, Venture Capital (formally Deluge), revolves around one such experience.
The story is based around the floods that occurred in Mumbai in July 2006. At the time, I was safely ensconced on the 11th floor ofa building in the northern suburbs of Mumbai. I missed it all thanks to the power outage that affected us.

It was only after the floods, and when I saw the pictures on television, I learned what I had lived through.

I hope you enjoyed the story and feedback is always welcome.

I have mixed feelings about this "short story."

I choose the book because it was set in India and the author had a unique perspective. While the author's writing style does keep the reader interested, I had missed the fact that this was a short story with only about 5,000 words. I had been expecting a longer story.

The story is itself is more like a dream in the mind of the lead character.

While I enjoyed the author's bio, notes and prologue and even the story, I felt the price is too high for a short story.
