About Jess Elizabeth O'Connell

❤ I grew up in the countryside, a place with rolling hill, forests, woodlands, acres and acres of fields and hedgerows. I would hear the occasional dog barking or a church bell peeling in the distance.

I found such inspiration there. It fuelled my imagination! I began writing stories when I was as young as 7. My first dabble in this field was a poem, and then went on to create short stories in a school foolscap book.

The writing bug has always been with me and I love nothing more than creating something from my dreams, imagination and life experiences. I have five books published so far. It is such a joy to share my works.

Mixed feelings with this book. The story concept is good, and I agree with Robert that the book does convey many emotions. The story's 'snapshot' type form is something different, whether intended or not, that aspect is done very well. While it does seem like there are places where it felt like random thoughts were thrown together, the overall story is not lost. Personally, I had hoped for a different ending. And that is why I give this a 4 out of 5 stars, because how a story is told all too often overshadows the most important aspect of any tale. Stories that bring out emotions within the reader are the reason we read in the first place, and the goal of I hope each of us that writes attempts to accomplish with our own works. Jess, you accomplished that goal for me. Thank you, and my best wishes to you.

I have finished the book and here is my full review. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt all of the emotions that were contained in this book. There is a good amount of dialogue and story building. It is not forced. It is well written though there are a few minor spelling mistakes here or there but that does not detract from the story or the fun reading it. Each chapter contains a scene or a snapshot of what is happening. Interesting way to tell a story. I cannot for the life of me understand how some people here are seeing this book negatively. Although I don't know much about writing, I'd say it is a jolly hard task to do and I am not mincing my words when I say well done Jess. What a lovely book full of emotions. Highly recommended. I loved the concept of this story and I tried to get into it. There isn't much dialogue and what of it there is doesn't flow. It feels forced. The preface is written better than the rest of the book. I wish I had something more positive to say...

I really liked this book. It is about a young woman who has a relationship with a man who she meets in a chat room online. When they meet, they spend wonderful moments together and she feels she has finally met her man. Then she starts to notice things that aren't quite right but she feels so comfortable around him she lets it go but then he reveals secrets to her. It's a fun little fantasy romance, it will make you laugh and cry. Well worth the read.

I have to completely disagree with the comment below. Indeed she did not give the book a fair chance. Having read a fair bit of this book myself even though Im one of the old male stocks but i do like a bit of romance to read. I defy anyman who doesnt. From what I have read so far is good. This is the authors first main novel and she did a great job. Would recommend this for perfect flights of fancy. Hope thers more to come Jess

Maybe I didn't give this a fair chance. You can judge for yourself. I couldn't really get past the first chapter. It was disjointed and kind of boring.
