About Sorchia DuBois

Kay Lawson (aka Sorsha DuBois) writes from her upstairs office overlooking an Ozarks pine forest. A writer and teacher, Kay lives with her husband and five cats far from the madding crowd surrounded by pine trees, oak trees, squirrels, rabbits, deer, turkey, and the occasional hiker/hunter/poacher. She holds an MA in English Literature and teaches college and high school online classes. When not writing or teaching, she reads, hikes, cooks, gardens, sits on the porch, sews, or annoys her children--Mandy, an archaeologist in Hawaii and Kris, a college student in Missouri. Writing is a long-neglected passion that she is rediscovering with quirky romance and mystery stories. She has published short works in magazines and newspapers as well as a nonfiction book titled How the River Ruined Me. Currently, she is focused on fiction and is working on a variety of paranormal mysteries and romance stories.
