To address Mr. Levitts review of my review. The content of a parent taking the pets of a child and turning them into a cake because his own child was afraid of the pet is not appropriate content for any age of child.
That is not something to be teaching children of any age.
A four year old is a child and that is an age when you would start teaching phonics and we have read several of the authors other books that I have given good ratings to.
As a parent, I felt this books content was not appropriate.

To respond to the other review first:
Your comment is uncceptable and insulting. Would you give Shakespeare one star claiming that is not suitable for four year olds? This book is listed as a childrens book, NOT a four year olds book. Giving a poor rating for this reason is going to insult the author, you have probably ruined someones day.
Furthermore, the rating was given without thought, this is a phonics book, meaning it is meant to be read by, not to, a child. The level is likely suitable for a six year old, and by that age I think they would find it extrmemely amusing, as I did.
