About Kathleen Statham

Kathleen Statham, the epitome of a struggling theater actress and dance artist during her young adulthood, became sensible and mainstream at around 40. She returned to college, emerged as a social worker with a master's degree, and conducted her clinical practice--or trench work--in a mental hospital and a maximum security men's prison.

Married to an aerospace engineer and now retired, Kathleen devotes her free time to writing and publishing mainly nonfiction works. Her two e-books are a memoir, BECOMING WARRIOR WOMAN: My Journey Through Three Cancers, and a collection of previously published essays entitled HOWLING AT THE MOON: The Best of the Back Bay Barker. She also paints, does African drumming and cruises on her motorcycle alongside her husband every chance she gets.
