Reviews of The Mystical Cat: An Anthology of All Things Feline by Dusty Rainbolt

I like antholgies for two reasons. One is that I enjoy a good short story, and the other is that an anthology can introduce me to excellent work by authors I didn't know before then. And I judge an anthology by how many stories it has "for any one of which I would retain the book and read and re-read." The average is around 4-5. Sometimes a really good anthology may go as high as 9-10. This one to my delight went to 14 of the 19 stories. I can only say that this is almost the highest number I have ever met over my 50 years of SF/F reading. It is matched only by a couple of the Catfantastic anthologies that were edited by my friend Andre Norton in the 1990s. If you love a good cat story, if you enjoy a good SF/F story, then buy this anthology and have a really great reading experience.

I really enjoyed this book, especially the stories by Pat Sachs and Dusty Rainbolt. Great book - whether or not you love cats.
