Review by: Laura Baker on Aug. 13, 2015 :
This young adult novel is a fantasy about how the supernatural beings that live among us, but suffer the same weaknesses humans have, good and bad, jealously, materialism, and so on.
The story begins with Sommer who is on the run with her memory altered, a dangerous man as her in his sights, and she realizes she has a baby somewhere! Then fast forward to Bron Jones, our protaganist, a foster child with the sad life of bouncing around in foster homes as he is living in the system. Finally, he is placed with Olivia and he learns that the world is so much more than he thought, and he is much more. See grabbed you already!
I feel anyone who likes an original storyline that is a fan of YA fantasy series than you will not be disappointed with this book. It has the drama, suspense, and world building you love with a good fantasy novel. The characters are each unique and believable and you find yourself deeply connected to them. This is just the first book and I cannot wait to read the next book.
I highly recommend this book. I woukd read it before you give it to your young adult as some material may not be what you think is appropriate for some young readers. Regardless you will enjoy this book.
