About Per Brask

Per K. Brask is an accomplished author, poet and dramaturg, with published poetry, plays, short stories, essays, libretti and literary translations.

He is a professor in the Department of Theatre and Film at the University of Winnipeg (Canada), where he teaches acting, playwriting, directing, theatre aesthetics and play analysis. He is also Visiting Professor in Theatre and Consciousness at the University of Lincoln (UK).

Throughout his career he has acted as dramaturg on numerous plays and productions, and has written several radio dramas for CBC Manitoba. He has also written plays and libretti, including the libretto for Michael Matthews’s chamber opera, Prince Kaspar.
