Amber is a metahuman, just like us save for one small difference in her DNA, a difference she uses as an agent with the FBI’s Metahuman Crime Task Force. But when she encounters the helpless 11 year-old Mary while on vacation in Vermont, her normal family life is invaded by the sinister predation of an all too human variety. Even on her day off, Amber is forced to confront this vile predator. More
Amber and her husband escape to Vermont for her well-deserved vacation. Something she desperately needs, as an agent with the FBI’s Metahuman Crime Task Force (MCTF), and an incredibly powerful metahuman herself. She constantly balances her superior abilities and the demands of her job.
In what’s supposed to be a fun, weekend away, Amber steps outside and finds herself drawn into 11 year-old Mary’s world, complete with a very real boogeyman of an all too human variety.
Amber can’t ignore what she’s seeing, even if she’s made a promise to her husband to stop working for once. But a vile predator is lurking in this small Vermont town, and Amber has to do something to stop him, even if it means putting a few more hours on the clock, walking the fine line between doing what she believes is right and keeping her word to her husband to take the weekend off.
