About Dave Magill

Originally from Northern Ireland, Dave has always had a heart for youth work, both at home and abroad (spending part of his gap year in Illinois). While at university in Belfast, he was a founder member of a Christian acoustic rock band. Following graduation with a theology degree, Dave spent three years as worship leader with a church plant in Co Londonderry.

In 2003 Dave took up a post as youth pastor at York Community Church and spent much of his time there involved in schools ministry. In 2005 he became Youth Coordinator at St Michael le Belfrey Church, a large evangelical anglican church in York.

Dave went on to lead Conversations,a congregation of the church meeting in various bars in York, and worked as the North Yorkshire County Coordinator for Christian Vision for Men, a national charity committed to reversing the decline in the number of British men following Jesus.
