Review by: Jonathan Rice on March 06, 2013 :
Nathan Wellman captures the psychological grip that a loss of a loved one can have on the human spirit. He does it with such an almost unconventional flare to the typical horror-psychological genre that it was often difficult to stop reading the novel.
Because of the complexities of the human spirit and the almost indescribable anguish that often comes with it, the difficulty of accurately describing the addictive and sometimes deadly nature of loss is obvious; however, "The Scarecrow" describes the process with such ease that the reader is instantly transported into an almost-familiar realm (with a few minor exceptions that will become apparent).

Wow! Delightfully dark and disturbing with such graphic details it's as if you are there. Nathan Wellman's writing has such amazing imagery and metaphors I can see this being adapted into a screenplay. Stephen King better watch out!!!
