I wasn't expecting to find this so enjoyable. However, I did find the main character annoying at times with her insistence at being a detective when she is completely unqualified and pretty much the most unproductive of employees previously. However, I did have fun whipping through this over the weekend.

I couldn't help but compare this book to Janet Evanovich's Plum series but one star lower. The main character, Cat, is a secretary that wants to be an investigator and continuously gets herself into dangerous situations. The story also has two competitive, hot guys that both want Cat. One guy is a cop and the other is a fellow investigator. Sound familiar?

Similarities aside, it was a good book and will look for more written by this author.
