Dan’s first book Desperata, features a selection of stories including, “The Art of the Snip,” “Termite Flatulence,” and the “Abominable Answering Machine.” The stories were collected over the years and saved by Dan’s sister Maxine Koppe, who worked with Dan to turn the collection of humour into the book called “Desperata.” By popular demand this book is out of print.
Since then Dan has written three business planning books, countless bad taste emails, and a succession of rants and self-effacing missives on topics ranging from Bugs in the Bano to marriage, to waffles and his newest release “The Journey of Love and Healing.” He makes it a practice to incorporate writing into each day.
When Dan takes those occasional days off from work and writing you will find him stuffed into a floating toothpaste tube sometimes referred to as a kayak (rarely right side up), or coaxing disturbing sounds from his guitar. From bungled attempts to outsmart fish in the rivers of northern British Columbia to flopping around in the waves or practicing applied inertia on tropical beaches, his leisure time usually incorporates blue skies, fresh air, thundering surf, abundant sunshine, and a few billion of grains of sand.
Dan lives in Prince George with his wife Britta.

When double tragedy strikes it changes life in a flash. This is an amazing true story.
Our society seems to be driven by cruelty instead of compassion, greed instead of selflessness, hatred instead of love and envy instead of kindness. In this story the above mentioned positive human attributes permeate throughout every paragraph - so wonderful and pleasing to notice and read about.
This is an excellent read. Well written. Touching.Inspiring.
