Pearl knew the diner needed a few repairs. At seventy-one, she couldn’t keep up with them all on her own. Posting a help wanted sign in the front window failed to deliver a handyman—until Jack Randall arrived. His positive attitude renewed her enthusiasm for her business. Review by: Steve R on March 13, 2013 :
A sweet, engaging story. Simple but effective, and populated with characters who feel real and make you care about them.

I like that the author didn't take the obvious plot route, too. It made for a much better story.

Highly recommended.

This is a very good story. Love the characters, the kind of people I would like to meet more of in real life.
