About Laura Lovecraft

Like her famous namesake, Laura was born, raised and still resides in historic Providence, Rhode Island. This Lovecraft's writing however, brings thrills of a completely different kind! Don't let the freckles and sweet smile fool you, erotica’s bad girl is not for the faint of heart.

Although Laura has penned some sexy fun in the categories of group sex and general erotica, Laura has made her bones in the realms of hardcore BDSM and truly Taboo tales. Currently Laura is best known for two dark and sexy series. Laura’s original masterpiece is the infamous (and banned on several sites) BDSM/Incest crossover Broken. This unique series has set the standard for not only taboo sex, but dark romance as well.

The other series is Tales of the Circle featuring a group of wealthy, powerful and sexually dominant men and women who rule the boardroom as well as the bedroom. In a more fun vein Laura's milf stories are full of sexy fun, especially her My Best Friend's mom books.

One of the best, if not THE best stories I have ever read. This is an emotionally charged roller coaster down the dark path of abuse and the people who get caught in its wake.

The characters are so vivid and realistic that they bring this story to life. You won't find cardboard cut-outs here, only characters with layers of personality who's expertly written dialog makes you either love or hate them.

The sex, and there is a lot of it, pushes the story and characters forward rather than be the destination they long for. There is as much tenderness as there is wickedness, making the reader never quite sure which way the story will go next.

The lesbian romance over the coarse of the story is expertly done. They love, they fight, they make up, just like any real romance. The author makes you sympathize with them and their struggles with their inner demons.

This is a tale not meant for the faint hearted. BDSM, abuse, and witchcraft are but the tip of the iceberg. Once you take the plunge into the world of Dark Genesis, it will keep going down that downward spiral and you won't want it to end.

5 stars doesn't do this story justice!

By far the darkest addition to the Circle series, this is a world of abuse, and the people who survive it, making the most of their worlds once they are shattered.

I loved discovering the world of Abigail and Nicole after coming briefly across them in Broken: Book 8.

There were moments where I cringed, the writing was so realistic and brought the tragedy of their pasts to life. Other times I was so on edge waiting to see what was going to happen next I couldn't read fast enough to get to the next part.

The ending was by far my favourite as we got to see the softer side of Abigail come out as she reconnects with her roots.

Highly worth the read - I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could

All in all, this was a great read,

Once again, L.L. Craft delivers characters that seem so real, the reader will wonder how they're doing long after finishing the book, forgetting that they are fictional. Craft's characters are multi-dimensional, layering strength over vulnerability and fierce independence over the need to love and be loved.

The superb dialogue in this book is so realistic, it often seems that the characters have stepped off the page, and the scene is playing out before the eyes of the reader.

The compelling plot of Dark Genesis brings the reader into a dark world, filled with survivors of abuse, makers of false promises, witchcraft, the supernatural, and brutal BDSM, but lifts the reader and the characters out of the darkness with a tender lesbian romance and promise for a brighter future.

The plot, dialogue, and characterization are all as good as the steamy sex scenes, which Craft writes with authority. One can imagine that Craft has experienced first-hand much of what is described in delicious detail. The excellent storytelling allows the reader to look into this dark lifestyle from the safety and comfort of a reading nook.
