2 Years in a Tent
2 seniors in their 70s are pushed from their home of 35 years. They cope by wandering all over the 10 western states of the USA while living in a tent - for 2 years.
They successfully adapt by occupying the very best of America's real estate - the National Parks and Monuments. They occupied over 50 campgrounds in 10 states, took solar showers, ate great and slept under the stars. More
We took to heart the many reviews of the first edition. Some readers got our intention and our experience right but some took it so wrong, that we’ve felt compelled to set the matter straight and try again but with more of our experiences and photos. We have made the 2nd version better by adding more personal insights and much more of what we originally put in the companion, but separate book, the Road Kill Diet. Personally speaking, the RKD was a lot easier to write than the first edition of 2 Years in a Tent, simply because we were no longer living in a tent and we could now expand on the details of where we went, what we ate and thought (meditation exercises too), and what psychologically helped us adjust to this extreme way of living and traveling. In different words, we’ve mushed together, both books into one longer book with more in-depth thoughts, equipment tips, photos, strategies and our day-to-day feelings. The time since our first edition has also changed us, as well as the economics surrounding our country. It’s been 4 years since we wrote the first edition, so in the second edition, we’ve updated some of those financial insights (Tentonomics) for you too, based on a new global political/financial reality and a much lower price of gas (which may not last).
We are also certain, for many Americans, by having the life-long knowledge and option to go live and travel in a tent, in case of a financial condition or disaster, can be incredibly important strategy for millions of us. Without a doubt, it was for us. The esoteric knowledge and our experience of how to travel and live a year or more in a tent, can be an important part of your personal growth, education, financial planning, retirement, or emergency survival plans too. We’re sure of it. What if you had to live in a tent for emergency or financial reasons? What would you do and where would you go?
Well, 2 seniors in their 70s did it because they were pushed from their home of 35 years. They coped by wandering all over the 10 western states of the USA while living in a tent - for 2 years.
They learn to successfully adapt by occupying the very best of America's real estate - the National Parks and Monuments. They occupied over 50 campgrounds in 10 states, took solar showers, ate great campfire food, slept under the stars and made many new friends. They grew spiritually, saved money, lost weight (Richard lost 30 pounds), rebalanced their debt and discovered Tentonomics - a totally new financial strategy that can now help millions of seniors and baby boomers find new housing and also travel full-time. An expensive, gas guzzling RV is not needed with Tentonomics. Also included in 2 years in Tent is the basics of the Road Kill Diet plan.
2 Years i a Tent is an important "wakeup call" for millions of baby-boomers and seniors who are struggling with overpriced rent and who are afraid to travel full-time without an RV. Everyone in the USA, at some time in their life, may be forced to live in a tent (for emergency or financial reasons) and 2 YEARS IN A TENT is a great guide for the best way.
