About Quenntis Ashby

Born in Durban, South Africa, in 1976.
BA degree in Drama and English Literature in 1996 (University of Kwazulu-Natal). Showed talent as a scriptwriter, an actor, and a director.
Joined the UCT School of Dance in Cape Town for a BMUS in Classical Ballet and Dance Musicology (2000). Showed talent as a dancer, choreographer, and composer.
1997 South African First National Choreography Competition finalist - as choreographer and composer.
Danced for Cape Town City Ballet, Cape Dance Academy, and CATS The Musical World Tour (Korea and China in 2003).
MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) from City University of Hong Kong (2014).
Worked for Rainbow Time Kids monthly magazine for 4 years as a staff writer and recording artist.
Playwright-Director-Actor for 2 Changhua Schools Drama Tours, performing to over 5,000 students.
