J.J. (James) DiBenedetto was born in Yonkers, New York. He attended Case Western Reserve university, where as his classmates can attest, he was a complete nerd. Very little has changed since then.
He currently lives in Arlington, Virginia with his beautiful wife and their cat (who has thoroughly trained them both). When he's not writing, James works in the direct marketing field, enjoys the opera, photography and the New York Giants, among other interests.
The "Dreams" series is James' first published work.

Dream Family is another great book in the Dream series.Sara has finally got her degree to be a doctor and just when she thinks things are getting good, she gets in trouble.
Sara is still having her dreams and they make her life hard. She needs to be concentrating on her family and career but she finds it hard to deal with when her dreams keep haunting her.
I absolutely love the dreams series. I think J.J.DiBenedetto is a very talented author and would recommend if you haven’t read his books that you start.
This book will keep you lost in the pages. If you have been reading the series then you know by now how lost in the books you will become. This series is a most read for anyone who loves to read. I give this book 5 stars.

J.J.DiBenedetto’s 4th book in the Dream series is the most heart shattering, yet beautiful, of all so far. He continues with the life of Doctor Sara Alderson, and her beloved family. Sara and her former boss,Laurie, from Children’s Hospital are just opening a new private practice in Washington, D.C., and before their very first day of work is even over, a horrible twist of fate slams Sara’s world into turmoil.
Sara is happily working, when she is suddenly being arrested and taken to jail for what is going to be one of the biggest nightmares of her life. Thrust into a horrid situation, because of a greedy woman, and a corrupt and self-serving Prosecuting Attorney, Sara’s entire life, and the lives of all who love her, are about to embark on a terrible and emotional journey that is far from Sara’s control. Sara has to call upon a man from her past that she loathes, but he is the only one who can help.
Throughout the story, we find Sara, who has always been there for everyone else, now unable to face even her own demons. Be prepared feel your own heart ache for all that Sara must endure in this very raw, and very emotional installment of the Dream series. See her strength as she continues to help others, even while losing her own battles. Characters from Sara’s past become intertwined in her current life, and we begin to feel close to them just as we have Sara and Brian and the rest of her family.
Dream Family will completely absorb you as you battle throughout trying to control your own tears as you walk right beside of Sara through each and every emotional scene. You’ll feel compelled to reach over and hold her close to you as she breaks down, and breaks away, from the demons that she has deeply hidden in her soul in this one. In the end though, you will realize that the love you have in your life, and the very existence of those around you, is what truly makes everything in this life, beautiful.

Dr. Sara Alderson has a loving family and a wonderful career helping sick children feel better. However her life is turned upside down when the police show up at her office arresting her for prescription fraud. Sara is degraded and treated like the scum of the Earth as she is processed and forced to spend a night in jail. Forced to reach out for help, she calls the only man who would know the ins and outs of the justice system, Paul Sorrentino. When she is finally allowed to return to her family, Sara knows she is nothing more than a shell of her former self. Somehow through it all, it is her infamous dreams that may help rediscover her freedom.
Dream Family starts off with a bang, when the cops arrive for Sara and the pace never slows down. Sara is normally the heroine rushing around saving the everyone in her dreams, but this time it is herself that needs saving. The author does a compelling job with Sara’s inner battles. Readers will both ache and cheer for Sara as she fights to remember who she is and what is most important in life. With a few new twists and turns from old minor characters, readers will be anxiously awaiting for the next book to be released. Another unique and powerful tale, with several life lessons thrown in for good measure.
I was speechless as I read this book, all I could think was wow, wow, Wow! Then to see that another adventure will be released sometime next year was beyond thrilling. If you want to read this series, plan on being wrapped up in the emotions of all the characters and soon you will feel as though you are a member of the family.
