Greetings and welcome to my website. Thanks for stopping by. I welcome you to download VANESSA with my complements and see if you like the style. I'm told by readers the first two chapters are a slow acceleration (others say 'no problem') and then it takes off from there as a great page turner. Each of the four sequels had good reviews on first released a few years back, so I hope you'll try those as well. Time Snap and Hell Rise were more recent efforts I hope you'll like. The short stories have been a lot of fun to write, and are getting good response levels. Thank you all so very much! Long and merry life, best of health,
David L Howells

PS: I've done my best to filter out errors in the copy, but if you see one on any of the works, please notify me at twosword at earthlink dot net? I'd appreciate it (just include a three word sequence and which title, and I'll fix it with a search and correct).

Happy reading!

Just finished reading this book for second (maybe third?) time. Love the storyline and the characters. I enjoyed the interaction between the two main characters in spite of the physical disparity. I will be downloading the rest very shortly. Oh by the way love the humor and the puns.

Love it!! I read it in one sitting. The beginning was a bit hard to follow at first, but it was a true page turner. I'm hooked now and downloaded the all the Vanessa series, plus Time Snap and Hell Rise. Looking forward to many hours of enjoyable reading. Thanks Dr. Dave!

Disparate characters and time periods come together in a well-crafted story that ends with a bang. Vanessa is hard to classify. It's part science fiction, heavy on the paranormal, and includes a little history. Violence perpetrated by a half-mad she-ghost might qualify the book as a Gothic novel, but the warmth of feeling among the group of ghost-busters keeps the story from being dark. There is humor, and also insight as to why villainous characters behave the way they do. This is the first of a series.

The book was very hard to follow in the first 3 chapters and I almost gave up trying to follow the scrambled mixed up list of characters. The book's contents did fall together later and was an enjoyable read after that.
