About Thais Russomano

Thais has been writing for as long as she could hold a pen and published her first book on Astronomy, aged 10.

She has written countless Space and Science related articles for newspapers and magazines and currently continues to write a weekly commentary for her hometown newspaper, the Diario Popular, for whom she has written every week for more than 10 years!

Thais continues to conduct research and to publish papers , and has to date presented over 200 scientific works to fellow scientists, engineers and doctors at more than 100 international meetings.

She has published chapters in books and encyclopedias, and also many full Science based books in relation to her career as a Space Doctor.

Her dream has always been two-fold - to be an astronaut and to write novels. Thus, with the publication of Betrayal (the English translation version of Traição, published in Brazil), Thais is fulfilling one dream and hopes it will pave the way (or indeed pay the way!) for her to accomplish her second by contributing towards the costs of a place on a future Space Tourism flight.

Many thanks to Mary of TrocaLingua translation services for making Betrayal possible.

I read this book in Portuguese originally (Traição) and I loved it very much. I read it twice with pleasure because the book talks about love and betrayal. The story is set in the middle of the last century and I like to know about life from earlier times. And now I have just read it as an e-book on my kobo e- reader and I am fascinated with Betrayal. The translation is perfect and it was amazing to read in English - I am Brazilian and I like very much to read and talk in English. BETRAYAL is an amazing and terrific book of love, desire, passion and lies. I felt unhappy when I finished it. My advice: read Betrayal and afterwards tell who was the most treacherous and who was the biggest victim - I will await your answer.

Been a while since I stayed up till three in the morning just to finish a book. Chapters are quite short so I kept thinking just one more - just one more. Interesting change in perspective at the end of chapter 15 - one event seen from 2 differing viewpoints. Very easy to read, some good twists and lots of emotions. Well worth it.

This is a gripping, must-read, romance novel, rich in stirring emotional conflict, family turmoil, across generations. It brings surprising deep awareness of both male and female issues that anyone could encounter. Yet essentially it is a love story, with all its aspects. The writing flows with vivid imagery as if you were watching a movie. I could not put it down.
