About Joy Wolf

Joy Wolf was born in 1958 and grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She has had an eclectic career path. Wolf began working as a photojournalist in Tucson, Arizona in 1980, after studying to be a writer in college. In 1984 she joined the "Day in the Life" team as a photographer and traveled to Japan. She then quit her job at the Arizona Daily Star and made Asia her home base, working mainly for American magazines and newspapers, covering everything from riots and revolutions to street life and celebrities.
When she returned to the U.S. she took a job at KCET in Los Angeles as an associate producer. She later worked at ABC Network News as a producer before taking a break to spend more time with her growing family. After spending many years covering serious news events, Wolf decided it was time to create something lighthearted and entertaining. When she isn't busy writing and rewriting, she enjoys cooking for her family, close friends and dogs. Wolf lives in Southern California.
