Growing up a average active kid, playing city and school sports all year long. It was not enough, to fight off a poor nutrition habits. Confidence was non-existent.
As I grew older into my 20’s every day public outings became something that I would become anxious and worried about. The feeling of being uncomfortable and even ashamed of my own body created embarrassing, disguised moments. Moments that created piercing. At the time I felt doomed, depressed and even guilty knowing that I was better than what I had created in the mirror. The future of who I was becoming- became hopeless.
Deep down I knew I wanted to change the way I was living my life and even who I was becoming. I began to dream and imagine what life could be like if I was proud of myself. This was enough to attempt to lose weight. Of course I was attracted to“100 percent guaranteed results”, diets regardless of the cost, it was what I wanted, right? Diets, secret fat loss books, supplements, weight loss pills- all offering sometimes instant results and a easy fix to my problem. This felt like being tossed into a maze but knowing there was no way out. Looking forward to results and failing repeatedly is what brought me down the most.
