Review by: David Blake on April 21, 2013 :
I'm not really sure what the point of this story is. It just seems to re-tell a few ideas from the film 'The Exorcist' without adding anything original in terms of the horror element.

As with most other examples of the author's works I've read, the prose is weak. Errors abound, there is a complete lack of description, characterisation and atmosphere, and at times even logic is shoved aside for the sake of the flimsy plot. Would policemen really shoot dead a young girl so readily?

There is so much wrong with this story I could be here all day listing its faults, but as a starter I would say to the author that I would like much more clarity about the main protagonist, Molly. How old is she? What kind of person is she when not possessed? What does she look like? Does she have any friends? How does she behave in the daytime, as the story suggests she only gets possessed at night? Is there any particular reason why this evil spirit is singling her out for possession?

Without any depth to the characters, the reader cannot care about them. And if the reader doesn't care about them, then the 'horror' aspect of the story just fails.
