Conversation With A Barn Cat

Rated 4.29/5 based on 7 reviews
This short collection of essays will bring a smile of recognition to those who love the people, the land, and the culture of the Ozarks. The author evokes the rhythms of a nearly forgotten life style. The overall tone is gentle good humor blended with love for the time and place. This was a clever, amusing book which I thoroughly enjoyed!! I am not a Missouri native, but I feel like I now know just a bit more about Charles, the Ozarks and the state I now call home.

I loved the stories and conversations with the animals. I also know the author and did not realize he had the ability to imagine and develop these stories. They are amusing as I have a smile on my face. Thank you Charles for writing your stories. May we have more?

"Conversation With A Barn Cat" is a warm, delightful, imaginative, relaxing read that leaves one begging for more of the story. Now that I've gotten to know these characters - and they are truly characters by all definitions - I am wanting to know what other antics they will be up to next.
