More than just a good story! It has to be true! Few, if any books tell the story of such as challenging part of the world but with such personal touch. We get to know Matika! There is much more to her than meets the eye! Absolutely recommend it!!

This is a splendid book that had everything I needed. The book vividly intertwines emotional suspense, political unrest, and the mystic nature of Uganda. It also explores themes, like GBV, that is affecting young women today. The main character is someone you could get attached to, which is truly important to me when I pick a novel. Matika has a lively and curious spirit and throughout her journey and the reader gets to see her spirit transform into greatness. I'm glad I did not miss out on this book!
