As a graduate school teacher, clinical social worker with a psychotherapy practice, and daily meditator, I have found the 'it' book for mindfulness. Cultivating Everyday Mindfulness is an excellent resource--clear, concise, and practical. The metaphors, quotes, and illustrations are perfectly positioned to reinforce Brad Waters' beautiful prose. For years I have searched for a book that I can recommend to clients who wish to learn or increase their ability in their mindfulness practice. And I have also searched for a book to use for the courses I teach in clinical social work practice and in the treatment of trauma. I have added this book to my list of required readings for all my courses.
Finally, Brad Waters is generous in his resources lists and suggested readings. Those are a treasure all by themselves. Overall, you will not find another book on mindfulness with so much packed into such elegant clear writing. This is a little book that creates a big space in your life for mindfulness and teaches wisely how to cultivate that space for a lifetime.
