From the opening moments of “The Cat and the Cathedral,” we are propelled into a mystery which leads to murder as four young detectives attempt to unravel a fatal crime set in their home city of Exeter, England. Exploring the underground catacombs beneath the medieval cathedral grounds while pursuing a cat who appears to be lost but seems to have special knowledge, our heroes witness a secret ceremony that leads to danger, deception, and choices of who can or can’t be trusted and whether friends can be truly depended upon. Suitable for mature middle to high school aged readers, this e-book is also an imaginative a good read for adults and a promising start to author Ali Cooper’s “Green Man Trilogy.” Watch for future sequels. With such well rounded characters and colourful locations, I predict a television series in the making! – Suzanne in Connecticut
