Ms. Quote could be any woman. Possibly the woman you pass by on the street without giving her a second look or a second thought. She hopes to change the world in the way we treat women and handle sex and sexual relationships through her writing.

We’re always intrigued by the goings on at A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind. The lovely Ms. Quote curates a delightful collection of photographs, stories, songs, and sound advice. What’s most intriguing is her inspiration — a long-distance affair played out in short, infrequent bursts, often in hotel rooms, whenever possible. Ms. Quote and her lover make the most of what they can get. We can all learn from that.
Ms. Quote’s erotic short story collection, Taking Flight, Taking Rides, is also inspired by that relationship. The encounters in six stories cross distances or hotel room thresholds or both. As the cover copy says, “Often, what happens between lovers away from home is far more adventurous than the trips that are planned. Sex away from home, even with a familiar lover, tends to be more adventurous, daring and exciting.” So true — there’s nothing better than vacation sex. Even if that vacation is the Sunday evening of a business trip. How very Up in the Air! If you’ve ever fantasized about being picked up by George Clooney in a hotel lounge, you’ll probably enjoy at least a story or two in this collection. (So, that would be everyone, right?)
Part of the fun for me was speculating on which stories are based on real life and which aren’t, but that’s beside the point. These short, sexy reads are lovely and fun. The editor in me desperately wanted to take a red pen to the text in places, but I may be a tad biased in that department. (Although I will swear to my dying breath that grammar matters.) Otherwise, these stories are more than likely to make you smile and, well, squirm just a little. And they will definitely inspire you to make the most of your next trip.
Oh, and the cover image…just plain gorgeous!
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review, but you can get it for 99 cents from Smashwords.
