Inhuman Condition

Human beings tend to fear the things they don't know, and that is often wise, given the lurking dangers our distant ancestors faced. But sometimes we need to carefully examine who we think we know: the petshop owner in town, the teenager who lives next door, or the nice man who walks his dog by our house each night. The stories in this collection will perhaps give you reason to redefine "inhuman."

About Kate Thornton

I spent 22+ years in the US Army where I was an instructor, and retired in 2001. I am privileged to have the time now to work on my 1955 Cliff May mid-century modern house when I am not sitting in front of the Blue Screen of Death waiting for inspiration to strike.

I have written several novels, including a 3-book mystery series, a full-length fantasy, and a couple of adventure romances, but my real interest is in short fiction.
