Liked it a lot more than expected. I am confused about Hope's age is she 37 or 26? This was funny, sexy and romantic.

I loved most of this book. Hope was realistic and thoughtful; however, I actually thought she was older until she said how old she was. I thought this because of the way she talked about herself and now I realize that 26 probably is really old when it comes to modeling so it makes much more sense. Plus, I think her feelings of inadequacy have a base in her past that we just don't know much about yet. (I hope that a follow-up book gives us more information on this.) The story was funny and steamy which I truly appreciated. Jake was a great male lead for the story because he projected so much masculinity and charm. Who doesn't love a nosy neighbor like Bette? I bet a lot of us have at least one in our lives although I hope mine don't have earpieces that enhance their hearing because they might get more than they bargain for in the end. There was only one thing that I absolutely disliked about the whole book. The ending! I don't need a happily ever after in every book I read, but I need some type of closure....even if it is just the definite knowledge that there will be a follow-up that finishes the story. If that is coming, I can live with the ending, but I need to know that it is coming. Just add a page saying coming soon...more of Hope and Jake's story or something like that. Overall, the story was funny, cute, steamy, and a complete WTH at the end and I am very glad I had the opportunity to read it.

Okay... I totally did not frickin' expect that! WTH!?

At first I had mixed emotions about this book but on the last few chapters I got invested. Then, I did not expect the ending. (Dear Alice, when will you release the second part?)

h: I liked Hope's character. Her internal monologues were witty and funny and she's not one of those broken, self pitying type of heroine.

H: I was confused with some of Jake's actions. I'm a little torn if I like him or not but man he sounds hawt!

Would I recommend this book? Yes! It's a quick and fun read.

Just to be clear on one thing....this is just book 1 right? This story cannot possibly end like this!

I liked this novella, it was cute, light and funny. Definitely a nice read.

Really hoping for a continuation.....

I loved this book. It was funny & touching. I could really relate to Hope at many levels. I laughed, sighed, panted & was surprised a few times. I cared about the characters more deeply than I expected from a novella. That's a sign of a good book/author. I enjoyed this book and recommend it wholeheartedly.

There were references to Hope's past and many questions left unanswered in this book. I did NOT want it to end and was disappointed when it did. I wanted answers.

I saw another reviewer write that this is going to be a series. If so, I want to read the rest of it!

SPOILER ALERT: I really wanted a HEA! I'd become attached to the main characters & wanted their happiness. This was the only change I'd have made.

I thought they were great together. I also thought of a few different ways Hope could have handled things. Initially, I liked that there was an ethical conflict since I love that kind of thing. BUT, I wished Hope would've handled the situation differently.

I received this novella from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really quite enjoyed this read, short as it was. Sometimes a novella really is just too short but in this case it couldn't have been longer without ruining the flair of the story.

Hope is a character who feels as though she has been taken straight out of life, a normal girl (or rather young woman) who doesn't pay attention to how she is looking when she's only briefly running to the shops for a quick errand, who went to concerts of 'embarrassing' boy bands (view spoiler) and who just isn't the typical completely styled and made-up doll one often gets in novels, nor is she completely breaking down over (usually) non-existent problems with her body. Down to earth and that's what I liked about Hope.

As for the plot, it developed rather quickly but for a novella that was to be expected. The ending was somewhat foreseeable after a certain point but when it came, it still manages to suck the breath out of the reader.

There were a few minor mistakes but nothing that really lashes out at the reader.

A fun, quick read.

Cute, short novella. The author does describe this as New Adult, but since Hope is 26, I think it is more of a Contemporary story. She is too old to be New Adult.

I love the fact that Hope is finding all these hot guys at Walmart. Gives the People of Walmart a new meaning. How come I don’t see these at my Walmart?

It has a lot of funny things happen in the story but the ending turns more serious. I didn’t see that happening and I hope I see things turn out for good in the rest of the series.

Brilliant book, it was funny and humorous. It was a good feel romance book. The characters were written that well, that you engaged with them well, and Jake OMG, he was so hot and such a good guy, where can I find him? :). The book is very well written and I was so engrossed in the book I couldn't put it down. I just hope there is a follow up to this book as I didn't want it to end.
