A very enjoyable story. The storyline and characters were very realistic and believable. In fact, the realism was a pro and a con.

I found that it was extremely easy to lose myself in the story because I wasn't rolling my eyes at typical over-the-top scenarios. For example, there is no mentally or physically flawed female who is suddenly transformed once she finds love. Serena and Kyle have normal issues and hang-ups to conquer. I found myself nodding my head in understanding, empathizing with those feelings of not being in control and questioning all motives and actions.

On the disappointing side for me, I found the sex a little too bland. I wasn't expecting erotica but I didn't feel any deep sexual passion between Serena and Kyle. Maybe it's me but I've always felt more fireworks and passion in a new relationship.

A minor issue was the editing. There seemed to be a number of missing words or letters. Nothing that you couldn't easily make out and I will definitely look into the author's other stories.

Very good story. Kyle is a young hockey player who visits home and meets a spunky teacher who is a die hard fan of his nemesis team. They fight their attraction but it becomes too much when they are left home alone for a while.

All the books in this series are well written and entertaining.

Worth the reading.
