In itself that was no great thing, but followed as it was by the Dissolution of the Monasteries, hitherto the foundation of so much in Ireland,it led to led to Plantations, Cromwell and Transportation,the expulsion of the Irish from most of their land save Connacht, England's 'Glorious Revolution' and Dutch William as he was known, William of Orange, The Battle of the Boyne and the Flight of the Wild Geese, and the horrors of the Penal Laws.
